Observing '1E 1207.4-5209' (obsid 3915) with ACIS-S/LETG. Solar radiation is currently low (under 200). There was an X2 class flare from active region 375 yesterday (day 160) at 2135UT. A halo CME was observed in LASCO images late in the day after the X1 event in region 375. The major part of the ejected material was observed off of the northwest limb. The CME could reach Earth during the latter half of June 11 and cause major geomagnetic storming. Further X class flares are likely and there may even be a possibility of an X10+ proton flare. Will request that this be fixed. - Safe mode testing on ASVT today - On day 157 we had some SIM TSC position and SEA voltage anomalies. This has been (in the past) attributed to single frame telemetry dropouts which corrupt some multi-frame variables in SIM telemetry. We will investigate to see if this is the cause, and if so will request a fix to GRETA. SOT(Bill): - See above notes on radiation.
