Perform 3 CAPS in extended pass: - Momentum dump (CAP 830 & 831) - IRU-1 hot restart (CAP 848) - Lower ACA temperature one more degree (CAP 843) Preliminary results on gyro hot restart are: - Gyro 1 went from 140ma to 96ma 2 went from 97ma to 101ma - We were successful in lowering gyro 1 current to nominal levels. We must wait several weeks to see if it will return to the higher levels or if it has been fixed for good. Solar radiation is currently low (under 100). There have been X and M class flares over the past day from active regions 375 and 380 and these regions remain capable of major flare activity. There has also been CME activity over the past several days which could cause geomagnetic field disturbances. On June 14-15 a high speed stream from coronal hole CH43 will likely dominate the solar wind and cause unsettled to active conditions. 3-day Solar-Geophysical Forecast issued Jun 11 at 22:00 UTC Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be moderate to high. R egions 375 and 380 remain capable of producing major flare activity. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be unsettled to active through day one, with isolated periods of minor storm conditions possible due to CME arrival from yesterday's flare activity. Unsettled conditions are expected on days two and three as the coronal hole wind stream moves out of geoeffective position. Active conditions are possible on day three due to potential effects of CMEs related to the major flares and erupting filament observed today.
