NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS Congratulations to FOT/MP for a record (tying?) quick TOO. Targets from the on-going NOAO/Bootes wide angle survey were taken out of the sequence and deferred to the end of the MAR3103 week. This required a local constraints file to allow a roll offset of up to 20 deg, as is allowed by the CARD but not implemented in the offline system. Congratulations to FOT/OC,CC for persistence with the DSN ground station problems which only allowed the TOO load to be uplinked 5 minutes before execution. Congratulations to FOT/ENG for the successful real-time momentum dump on Sunday, which especially gathered some additional information on the nature of the anomalous behaviour of A2, and ran a diagnostic of whether the problem involved actual firings of the valve drive electronics. From the 9am status meeting: Seven supports over the weekend, 3-34m and 4-26m. The DSS-66 pass starting at 087:2010 did not acquire lock until 2112, including tries with both the upgrade and legacy equipment. This was barely in time to uplink the TOO load. Four load segments were uplinked, and on-board loads are good through 093:09:30. Preparation of APR0703 products are on-going, hopefully out later today for a load review tomorrow. Momentum dump over the weekend took 16 minutes, vs. a predicted 12 minutes for a dump with nominal thruster performance. The 12 minutes was actually very near the prediction based on the previously observed, anomalous thruster performance. Further analysis will be reported later this week. Look ahead: ACIS contamination telecon today, 2:30pm 405-244-5060 #1165 Eclipse operations meeting Thursday at 1pm. New paradigm for a uniform handling of all eclipses. Daylight savings time for the Eastern Time zone starts at day 96:0600. This is next Sunday morning, April 6. Quick look data: OBSID Target Time Comment ----- ------ -------------- ------- 4432 H2650 088:03:05: ACIS-S LETG GRB TOO. Looks good. Public domain data. Many NOAO/SS/SD fields being done as a wide angle survey. There are no specific aim point targets to report on. ------------------------------------------------------- Dan Schwartz, MS #3 das@head-cfa.harvard.edu phone: (617)495-7232 FAX: (617)495-7356 cell phone: (617)512-5627 pager: 877-693-7198 PIN 693-7198 or e-mail 6937198@archwireless.net -------------------------------------------------------
