No command load uplinks, on-board loads good until 278:00:22. CAP 891 was successful yesterday. Loaded the new IRU-2 calibration K-constants. OCT0503B loads were approved and signed-off. Will start uploading at the current pass. Thermal briefing meeting at 11am this morning. 405-244-5060 #1165. (power point presentation at /pool14/das/TWG_Community_Briefing_10-02-03.ppt on the CXC HEAD LAN) NetApps has gone down 4 times in last two weeks. Contractor is being consulted, they say there is a known hardware problem. Diagnosis will continue. A failed CPU board on one of two ASVT servers failed. Was replaced by vendor with no impact to ASVT operations. ACIS "Red data quality limit" alert at 04:35 was analyzed by Peter Ford and quickly shown to be spurious. He reports: "When I monitored the realtime feed on colossus.cfa.harvard.edu at about 12:35 am, telemetry was arriving and the ACIS bilevels were nominal. However, pmon running on acis.mit.edu appeared to have "frozen" at 12:20 am. This is usually caused by garbage in the EHS headers and/or VCDU counters of successive minor frames. I restarted "pmon" and verified that the bilevels looked OK through the end-of-pass at 12:44 am. So a false alarm caused by a few frames of garbled telemetry." During the HRC/LETG obsid 3831 of the Crab Pulsar last Friday, the -Y shutter failed to insert. Mike Juda reports: "The daily load commanded shutter insertions on day 269 around 19:55. Unfortunately, the -Y shutter did not insert. A review of the telemetry indicates that the HRC did not select the -Y shutter motor when commanded. The load commanded the shutters back to home again on day 271 around 04:30. Once again telemetry indicates that the HRC did not select the -Y shutter motor." HRC team is investigating, and will report after a meeting this afternoon 1-3pm EDT. An anomaly report will be opened.
