Loads are stopped because of high radiation, after an autonomous SCS 107 run at 2003:299:19:22:30 UT. Radiation will be discussed today at 3:15pm EST, to assess when the science mission can resume. Candidate loads are being built to resume science at the exit from the next perigee. The radiation telecon summary is given in section (2) below. The GOES proton radiation flux is elevated but decreasing. ACE 2 hr fluence is 2.2e7 vs. threshold 3.6e8. CRM-based orbital fluence is 8.7e8 vs. threshold 3.0e9. Chandra is in the magnetosphere. Here is the summary from the latest radiation telecon at 3:15pm EST today: The radiation environment is still uncertain, because of radiation from previous X1 CMEs expected in the next 24-48 hours. We will have another telecon at 9pm EST tonight on 305 503 1818, 421. This telecon might possibly cancel Plan A, which must be loaded in the 1105 UT comm pass (6:05 am EST) tomorrow at the latest. If "Plan A" (which is load OCT2803) is not cancelled tonight at the 9pm EST telecon, then we will have the final go/nogo telecon tomorrow morning, 15 minutes before comm start. Note that comm start tomorrow is currently scheduled for 6:05am EST, but we have a request in to DSN to start comm earlier (at 4:30am EST). An extended comm is needed if OCT2803 is approved for uplink, to support a momentum unload before OCT2803 starts. This momentum dump (to 0,0,0) will be required to manage momentum through the initial 113 ks observation (obsid 4613) in OCT2803. We should know at the 9pm EST telecon tonight the exact start of the comm tomorrow morning. When the comm start time is known, the go/nogo telecon time will be set. If Plan A = OCT2803 is not approved, either tonight or tomorrow morning, then the momentum unload will not be needed and will not be executed. In that case, we will begin consideration of a "Plan B" for science resumption. One candidate Plan B is to skip obsid 4613. 3) Quick Look data review (OK unless noted): Seq # ObsID Constr.
