This will be run Thursday afternoon during the DSS-46 pass. - Today is the 4th anniversary of the "Bastille day" solar storm, which is commemorated with a somewhat active sun right now - LASCO & EIT observed a couple of at least partly Earth-directed events on 2004/07/13, which showed up in the LASCO coronagraphs FOV as rather faint 'full' Halo CMEs - There was an additional M-class flare in the last 24 hours - GOES proton rates are low and steady, while ACE soft proton are climbing steadily. The current ACE 2-hr fluence is 4.9e6 compared to the limit of 3.6e8. 9 AM meeting ------------ - Three 34m supports over the past day, no issues. - Still working on the JUL1904 products. - FOT/engineering completed simulations yesterday to rehearse the eclipse off-point which will occur next Sunday morning. The morning was devoted to the nominal scenario, while the afternoon SIM included an ill-timed pass-2 safemode. In both cases Chandra was brought through the eclipse event while maintaining a safe spacecraft state. Some useful procedural issues were identified, as well as an unexpected behavior in the CPE pointing control law when the solar array is off-pointed. - No new quicklooks Snapshot -------- Snapshot matches expected configuration: UTC 2004:196:15:07:01 (Jul14) f_ACE 6.48e+02 F_CRM 1.16e+09 Kp 2.7 R km 126751A OBT 2004:196:11:14:23 CTUVCDU 5434111 OBC s/w NRML FMT2_NORM CPEstat NORM OBT 206190863.43 ONLVCDU 5434096 OBC Errs 0 OBSID 5171 EPState SUN SIM TTpos 71047 HETG Angle 79.46 PCADMODE NPNT RA 166.091 Bus V 30.24 SIM FApos -467 LETG Angle 4.09 PCONTROL NPNT Dec 38.252 Bus I 29.75 AOFSTAR GUID Roll 274.433 ACA Object FFFSSSSS Dither ENAB HRC-I HV ON ACA ImFunc TTTTTTTT Dith Yang -0.33 Yaw Rate 0.08 HRC-S HV OFF ACA CCD Temp -15.6 Dith Zang 4.04 Pitch Rate -0.13 OBSMode NEXT ACA Int Time 1.698 Roll Rate 0.05 Door OP UNAC AOACSTAT OK FSS SunBeta SUN Door CL UNAC FSS Alfa 0.38 Batt 1 SOC 100.00% Avg HRMA Temp 70.61 FSS Beta 42.29 Batt 2 SOC 100.00% ACIS Stat7-0 64 Avg OBA Temp 52.09 SA Resolv 48.01 Batt 3 SOC 100.00% Cold Rad -127.9 OBA Tavg Fault NFLT SA Sun Pres ILLM Warm Rad -82.0 OBA Trng Fault NFLT +Y SA Amps 14.49 RadMon ENAB HRMA power 43.30 SCS 128 ACT -Y SA Amps 14.88 EPHIN Geom LARG OBA power 89.40 SCS 129 ACT +Y SA Temp 108.70 E150 3.2 SCS 130 ACT -Y SA Temp 109.28 E300 0.1 Roll Mom. 2.761 SCS 107 INAC E1300 0.0 Pitch Mom. -10.891 UpL Cmd Acc 8096 EPH A-Leak 1.0200 P4GM 0.5 Yaw Mom. 7.797 Cmd Rej A 238 EPH B-Leak 0.3760 P41GM 0.0 EPH temp 73.88 Gyro 1 Curr 1 7.20 Roll Bias -0.6895 M Unload MON Gyro 1 Curr 2 9.60 Pitch Bias -1.9376 CTX B PWR 36.69 TSC Move STOP Gyro 2 Curr 1 103.20 Yaw Bias -1.0139 CTX B Volts 3.54 FA Move STOP Gyro 2 Curr 2 100.80 OTG Move DISA Current Data: Currently scheduled FPSI, OTG : ACIS-S LETG Estimated Kp : 2.67 ACE EPAM P3 Proton Flux (p/cm^2-s-sr-MeV) : 6.48e+02 GOES-10 P2 flux, in RADMON P4GM units : 0.00 GOES-12 P2 flux, in RADMON P4GM units : 0.00 GOES-10 P5 flux, in RADMON P41GM units : 0.01 GOES-12 P5 flux, in RADMON P41GM units : 0.02 Orbit Start Time : 2004:195:09:39:00 Geocentric Distance (km), Orbit Leg : 126415 A CRM Region : 2 (Magnetosheath) External Proton Flux (p/cm^2-s-sr-MeV) : 1.51373100000e+03 Attenuated Proton Flux (p/cm^2-s-sr-MeV) : 7.56865500000e+02 External Proton Orbital Fluence (p/cm^2-sr-MeV) : 2.61468284306e+10 Attenuated Proton Orbital Fluence (p/cm^2-sr-MeV) : 1.16440857085e+09
