RADIATION SUMMARY ----------------- Solar soft proton flux is very low. (http://www.srl.caltech.edu/ACE/ASC/) Significant solar activity: The solar flare activity level was low. A total of 2 C class events was recorded yesterday. (http://www.dxlc.com/solar/) CMEs reported for past two days: May 22-23: No fully or partly Earth directed CME observed (http://www.dxlc.com/solar/- Jan Alvestad). May 25: A CME was observed off the north pole and northern limbs early in the day. It appeared as a partial halo, so it may not be earth directed. The CAP was actually executed at 13:25 UTC, 9:25 am EDT.) Zone 50 of the telescope appears to have a stuck-on heater. This CAP disables power to survival bus 8 to determine if the survival heater is the stuck-on heater, and then re-enables it if requested by the Thermal Engineer. Next Scheduled Supports (3): 146/1850-2140 147/0115-0405 147/1000-1235. MP: The MAY3104 load is coming along well. Kevin is checking with Scott Wolk on the moon position. We are using the OFLS moving target processing for the first time, so we won't have to enter the motion manually - it will be calculated. Products are expected out later today, with a review tomorrow. S/C: The momentum dump Monday looks nominal. CAP 916 to disable the survival heater bus for zone 50 was done. The heater left off for 30 min. No change in T was observed, so the problem is elsewhere. GOT/IST: Ron Wines reports that we failed over to the B firewall, which is working well. The new A firewall cards are suspected to be the problem, and are being examined. DATA: The GOT is redelivering a piece of a dump that was a problem. SOT: There was a minor glitch with interpreting the CAP data in the daily ops report yesterday. CAP 916 was listed, but had not been described nor completed as of the 9:00 meeting, so it is reported today. MEETINGS -------- At 1:00 pm, Gene Burke of JPL will give a presentation about JPL's DSN scheduling process in the action room.
