EPH temp 96.12 F NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS From the 9am status meeting: Welcome to Paul Viens who started today as the FOT Deputy Engineering Manager. Paul has an MS in aerospace engineering from BU, and has worked for 20 years in various engineering disciplines, and on NASA and USAF projects. We had 9 supports over the weekend, a DSN-DR was filed for real-time telemetry drop-outs from DSS-66. Problem was corrected. Two load segments of OCT0404A were uplinked, on-board loads are good until 280:21:38. Work is starting on planning the OCT1104 week. Products will probably be out tomorrow. Tansmitter B noise has subsided, but still noiser than usual. This is at the level of tenths of dB, and is not an impact, but has been watched since launch. Power amp changes last week did not reveal any correlations. Propellant line temperature violations occured -- these have occured previously and are expected. ACIS is planning two focal plane cooling tests during the week of OCT2504. Focal plane temperature will be set to -126 C, and the cooling curves and temperatures attained compared to early in the mission. One test will be with the CCD's clocked, the other without clocking. If cooling properties are the same, then we can conclude there is no significant build-up of contamination on the focal plane. Tests will take place in format 1, while HRC is performing science observations. The observation of the Crab nebula revealed a bug in the destreaking process, attributed to the unusual frame time of this 100 row subarray. It is expected to be easily fixed.
