No C class events were recorded but the geomagnetic field was unsettled to severe storm yesterday. (http://www.dxlc.com/solar/) CMEs reported for past two days: June 21-23: No obvious fully or partly Earth directed CMEs were observed in available LASCO images. Rework will be required. First, there were changes in observing parameters for two observations from the observers. Second, one of the comet observations was scheduled differently by the OFLS than in a previous run. This is a case of same input parameters to the software, different results, indicating a bug. Bill Davis reports that "For the second comet observation (06315), the offset HRMA pointing direction is 130 arcsec from the comet center. For the other four comet observations, the pointing direction is the same as the A schedule, which had checked out OK." We are forced to use a window parameter for these observations, and shouldn't have to. A problem report will be entered into DDTS. We will find a solution or use an existing workaround; the B version of the schedule will be released later today. S/C: A new mission planning guideline for pline constraints was approved yesterday. The lowest pitch angle of concern is now down from 155 to 152 degrees. GOT/IST: The IO net transition will be taken up at a special FDB next Tuesday DATA: - SOT: Goes X-ray flux - Quiet today. There were no counts visible in the quick look data from obsid 5975, an HRC-I calibration observation of Vega. Larry David has been notified.
