Radiation: - The geomagnetic environment continues to be unsettled as a result of the C2 class flare on Aug 31. ACE P3 rates are around 5000-10000 and unsettled. The harder channels appear to have turned over, and the hard GOES proton rates are only slightly elevated. The associated CME is expected to arrive today with the possibility of major storm conditions. Otherwise, there are no strong active regions on the sun and no major further activity is predicted. - Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low to low. There is a fair chance for an isolated C-class event from region 806. - Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at active to minor storm levels on 2 September. Isolated major storming is possible due to the arrival of the full halo CME associated with the long duration C2 flare on 31 August. Predominantly active conditions are expected on 3 September, decreasing to unsettled on 4 September.
