EPH temp 81.31 degF NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS From the 9am status meeting: Two supports in the past 24 hours. No issues. Current support is delayed in establishing comm. Delay was about 40 minutes. The maneuver only load SEP1505A was reviewed, approved, uplinked and executed yesterday, to get us to a more favorable EPHIN temperature for restarting the observing program. CAP 839A was run to disable SCS 29. Radiation telecon: Held at 10:15am EDT. Will proceed with restarting observing program at 258:21:50, with the SEP1505B products, to be uplinked at the 20:40GMT pass this afternoon. Will have a GO/NOGO radiation telecon convening at 20:30, 4:30pm EDT, to look at the EPHIN data from the pass. (Note that the SEP1505B products are not a revision of the SEP1505A, but rather run in continuity to SEP1505A!) Splinter meeting on EPHIN temperatures: We looked at some EPHIN temperatures during 4 recent Groth strip observations. They fluctuated 2 or 3 degrees about the prediction, but based on the data it seemed that IF we started below 80 degrees coming out of perigee, we could schedule observations upwards of 50 ks and if the predicted temperature did not exceed 100 degF we could have a good expectation that the rail voltage would not trip. Tan will document the thermal data, and Ken will formulate guidelines for waiving the 96 degF limit in such cases based on the data experience.
