Shift Report L14, August 5 1999 15:00 EDT, GMT 217:19:00 ACIS Activities this shift 1. Completed Interior Source Calibration procedure (science run 4). 2. Ran CC3x3 intcal procedure, with the new parameter blocks (v. 3.1A). 3. Monitored radiation entry ATS. Spacecraft Activities Setup for earth sensor scan. 1. Interior source Calibration procedure (4th science run) Collecting ACIS-S faint mode data, excluding grade 255 only, and event amplitude range at ~15 keV. Chips S4 and S5 windowed out. Paul Plucinsky had started the run at beginning of L shift. GMT 217:13:12 Stop science, end SOP GMT 217:13:14 ObsId set to 62725 2. cc3x3_intcal, 1st science run. There was considerable delay getting started. CAP 155, the configuration management CAP 155 prepared on the preceding shift, was deemed insufficient to permit us to run; it did not specify the version numbers and dates of the new proc and scripts. We issued a new CAP 155A containing that information. It was determined that the correct scripts were on yesterday's tar; but the tar had not been updated. There was some discussion on flight director's loop in which all parties agreed that tar updates should occur as needed, and not be limited to once a day. GMT 217:13:46 Began proc SAP_61077_CC3X3ICM, rev. 3.1A. GMT 217:13:54 Start science, CC 3x3 on the I array. Five of the dump commands failed to reach ACIS, due to timeouts. This was the case despite the fact that FSV processing was disabled. Since we received the Huffman dumps, and science telemetry at the edge of telemetry capacity was due to begin shortly, we decided not to attempt to resend the dump commands. We encountered numerous losses of the feed from squirt to emily; over a dozen through the course of the shift. Cambridge Ops suggested that we submit a DDTS problem report over the web, which we did; and that we reboot emily; which we did not. Demetrios Athens was going to arrive near the start of shift M to look into the matter, and to reboot emily at his discretion. We had intended to split the procedure and start the new science run at GMT 16:00, but the SOC was preoccupied with PCAD commanding. The two CC 3x3 runs are consequently of significantly unequal length. GMT 217:16:11 Resumed procedure, loaded SCS's and stopped science. GMT 217:16:23 ObsId set to 62724. ~ 217:16:30 started second CC 3x3 run, on spectro array. This time the command system was configured to disable CAR processing as well. Even so, we lost one dump command (dump TE blocks, SCS 149) to timeout. Again, we opted to do without the dump and continue. GMT 217:17:58 Stop science. GMT 217:18:06 ATS triggered, powering off video boards successfully. GMT 217:18:07 Radiation entry.
