ACIS Shift report LM26,  August 17 1999, 17:00 EDT, GMT: 229:21:00

NEWS FLASH !!!! First Chandra safemode at 229:20:17:56.

We are in realtime contact in FMT 5.
ACIS temperatures are OK and ACIS is still fully powered.  The safemode
was apparently triggered by an error in the maneuver.   The
unfortunate consequence of this safemode was that the SIM translated
to an intermediate position between ACIS and HRC.
We are OK !!!!

ACIS Activities this shift:

- watching the normal daily load run, com outtage, watching the
"bridge" daily load run
- execute CAP 286 to get a new ACIS bias
- watch the ``new'' daily load kick off, OH NO !!! Safemode 

Spacecraft activites:

- just maneuvers for the observations, SSR dumps and uplinking the
daily load
- HRC ramps up their HV again
