ACIS Activities this Shift

1. Dark Current Measurement at -120 C
2. Load Optional Event Histogram and CC3X3 Patches
3. Event Histogram on the Internal Cal Source with ACIS-S in FMT 1

Spacecraft Activities

- HRC was the focus of attention tonight, they were ramping up the
high voltage but stopped short of their normal operating value due to
the high count rates.  Not clear if this is high particle background
or still residual pressure in the OBA/ISIM cavity.


General Notes
- we are still running with the command configuration of "Clear to
send Mechanism == CAR" and "FSV Processing == Disabled".  This appears
to work just fine for our scripts which contain the "BUFFER SEND"
commands instead of the "BUFFER SEND VERIFY".
- we worked on the modifications to the Internal Calibration
Measurement which is expected at 6am on Friday but which may HAPPEN
EARLIER BECAUSE HRC MAY CURTAIL THEIR HRC-S ACTIVATION ALSO !!!!!


1. Dark Current Measurement at -120 C
  Yousaf started this activity on hid shift after the focal plane had
settled at -118.9 C after perigee passage.  I completed it on my
shift.  All was nominal.

2. Load Optional Event Histogram and CC3X3 Patches
Due to the pause in the HRC HV ramp-up, it became possible for ACIS to
grab some FMT 2 time to do some Event Histogram runs.  But first we
had to load the Event Histogram patch.  In order to get HRC to switch
from FMT 1, I had to head down to the mud-wrestling pit with Gerry
Austin but this time I prevailed.  We had many TLM dropouts just after
we started this procedure but all the loads went up just fine.  We
warmbooted the BEP and the patches took !!!! Yippee, we have patched
the SW twice now !!!!

3. Event Histogram on the Internal Cal Source with ACIS-S in FMT 1
This procedure is in progress now.  We retained FMT 2 until the bias
maps had come down.  After that, we relinquished FMT 2 so that our HRC
friends could get all of their data.  The run is in progress now.
