Item 1. Chandra Website Temporary Shutdown

The Chandra X-ray Center website will be down for 12-24 hours starting 5pm, 
Friday August 19th due to the need for emergency repairs to the electrical 
system. All services will be unavailable, including RPS cost proposal 
submission, Targets of Opportunity, the Observation catalog, the archive etc.. 
We will return functionality to normal as soon as possible. We apologize for 
this inconvenience. Note: if you can see the website, it  is probably fully 
operational:      http://cxc.harvard.edu/


This Electronic Bulletin is used for the dissemination of important
announcements and information about the Chandra X-Ray Observatory to members
