Chandra Electronic Announcement #49 |
CHANDRA ELECTRONIC ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER 49 One announcement: 1. Chandra Cycle 10 Proposals Seeking Joint HST Time ---------------------------------------------------------------- Item 1. Chandra Cycle 10 Proposals Seeking Joint HST Time ================================================================== Chandra Cycle 10 proposers may seek HST time through Joint proposals following the usual guidelines in the Call for Proposals, http://cxc.harvard.edu/proposer/CfP section 4.5 on Joint Observing Projects. Given the uncertainty as to which HST instruments will be available during Chandra Cycle 10, the choices in the Remote Proposal System (RPS) forms have not changed. We request that Chandra/HST Joint time proposers wishing to use the new, SM-4 HST instruments, select the current HST instrument closest to their requirements in RPS, if such an option is available in RPS. If not, you may choose any HST instrument listed. Make sure in any case to indicate the preferred HST instrument in the Remarks section of the Target Form. The required technical details should refer to your preferred instrument. We note that, in the event that you are allocated time and the preferred instrument is not available, the feasibility ofyour project with the available instrumentation will be reviewed. Good luck with your proposals! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This Electronic Bulletin is used for the dissemination of important announcements and information about the Chandra X-Ray Observatory to members of the community.
