Number: HRC-C-001
Type: Constraint
Original Date: 6/13/95
Subsystem: HRC
Subject: HRC Housing Door Movement and Focus Shutters
Source: Informal CARD inputs, e-mail, M. Juda, 9/11/95
CRL Statement:
The HRC housing door may only be moved if the HRC focus shutters are in
the stowed position.
CRL Rationale/Justification:
The HRC housing door motion constraint with respect to the focus shutters
is derived from the HRC design.
CRL Impact:
Motion of the door, assuming that the shutters are not in a stowed
position, will result in damage to the shutters and possible damage to
the door or the detector assemblies. Damage to the detector
assemblies, focus shutters, or detector housing door can result in the
loss of the instrument.
Recommended Action:
Incorporate into the Systems and Operations Procedures, with ASC providing
the inputs.
