• From Bill Podgorski/Darell Wicker (Jul_24_2002_L1098 SOT shift report):
  Switch to SSR-B occurred on DOY 204 due to missed data dumps because of ground antenna problems.
  - Associated with the swapover to SSR-B, there were 7 errors in error log incl a "226 error". Similar to errors seen during swap-over on day 30, 2001
  * Had a SADA-A limit violation, thought to be associated with above errors
  * Last time these errors turned out to be caused by error in transfer of data from IU to OBC

  The CXCDS Ops has experienced "drop-outs" of the realtime data stream
  during a pass three times this week. The cause of the problem is
  being actively investigated. These data flow interruptions are not
  related to the spacecraft or ground system. The greta network is unaffected.
  There have been gaps in the data being streamed through psicorp and
  forbin, which feed (among other things) the snapshot pages, ACIS and
  HRC status web pages, and many acorn sessions.
  Please be aware that the realtime data stream coming through
  psicorp and forbin may not be complete.

Radiation

Radiation levels remained elevated and unsettled, but no alerts were issued during this period.

Detrended CTI

CTI analysis is now computed with "detrending" derived from reject counters for all imaging CCDs

Average of ACIS-I CCDs (MnKa) slope 1.013e-8 CTI/day
Detrended slope 9.917e-9 CTI/day

ACIS Warm Pixels

The following pixels consistently showed a bias level more than 5 sigma away the chip's mean level during this period.
We suspect some of the recurring bad pixels may be due to biases which are taken just after perigee, when the focal plane is somewhat warm. For more information see the link above and MTA monthly reports.
