Abstract
We present a spectral and temporal analysis of the hard X-ray emission of the z=3.27 quasar PKS 2126-158, obtained with Chandra, BeppoSAX and Rossi-XTE. Variability is observed both in the continuum emission and in the absorption features. We show a model which explains both the emission mechanism and the structure of the circumnuclear medium of this powerful AGN.
