Archive Mirror in India
2005-10-14
Users in India are currently being redirected to the SOUTHERN_ASIAN_SERVER at UICAA in Pune for data retrievals. Even though they connect to WebChaser at CfA, when it comes to retrievals of public Chandra data, their data will be packaged at, and available from, the mirror in Pune. This should improve data transmission speeds for users all over India. The same mechanism is being used for Quick image.
