Bugs: asphist

Caveats

# asphist (CIAO): The difference of 2 asp_file counters should be 0 or 1.

This error occurs when one of the aspect solution files (pcad_asol1.fits) falls off of the good time interval (GTI) of the data. Removing that aspect solution file from the asphist run will solve the problem.

Bugs fixed in CIAO 4.4

The following is a list of bugs that were fixed in the CIAO 4.4 software release.

Using a reprojected event file creates an incorrect aspect histogram.  (07 Sep 2011)

The tool assumes that _NOM and _PNT header values are the same when calculating the offsets, which is not the case for reprojected data.

For small differences in keyword values, the error is small (unless you are very near the poles). It is also smaller for locations closer to the optical axis.
