Using "!=" with string filtering causes dmlist to fail.  (05 Mar 2007)

For example, the following commands both fail: 

unix% dmlist "region.fits[shape!=Annulus]" data

unix% dmlist catalog.fits"[COMMENT!='weak'][cols COMMENT]" data
