WARNING about creating a large image (11 Jul 2011)
If the chosen binning factor is small enough (e.g. binsize=1 for an ACIS-I observation) then the following warning will be seen:
# DMCOPY (CIAO): WARNING: Creating large image: 84 MB. Current max set at 50 MB. Increase maximum using [opt mem=n] or increase blocking to reduce size.
The output files are completely valid; the warning is just there to let you know that the files that are being created are large. At present there is no way to hide this message.
06 Feb 2012 Bug Fixes
The following is a list of bugs that were fixed in version 06 Feb 2012.
HRC-I background file package must be installed (07 Jul 2011)
When processing an HRC-I observation the HRC background CALDB package must be installed, otherwise the script will fail during processing.
Early HRC-I observations: no background file available (22 Jul 2011)
In the current version of the script, the HRC-I background subtraction cannot be turned off. There are a few observations taken before 1999-12-06 for which no background file is available. fluximage will fail in this case:
unix% fluximage hrcf00132N003_evt2.fits Running fluximage... Version: 01 July 2011 ... # fluximage (01 July 2011): ERROR 'blanksky'
For now, you must follow the HRC-I Exposure Map and Fluxed Image thread to analyse these observations.
