CIAO Workshop
Previous CIAO WorkshopsA two day CIAO workshop was held on 15-16 August 2016, at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, Cambridge, MA.
The CIAO workshop was held the day before the start of the Chandra Science for the Next Decade workshop.
The workshop went from 9am to 6pm on Monday, and from 9am until noon on Tuesday. It will focused on getting the most out of Chandra data, with discussions of CIAO capabilities and the impact of calibration on cutting edge science.
Participants were required to bring their own laptop with the latest CIAO installed for the hand-on session.

Tuesday, 16 August 2016 from 9am until noon was Hands On Analysis. The Chandra Science for the Next Decade workshop started at 1pm, within walking distance of the CIAO workshop.
The workshop was mainly aimed at students and postdocs new to Chandra data.
Users looking to hone their CIAO skills could attempt some of the projects from one of the recent X-ray schools during the hands-on sessions.
Users can also search through the Quick Start Guide to get started on their specific analysis path as quickly as possible.
