hide_line

Synopsis

Hide the specified line.

Syntax

hide_line()
hide_line(id)

Description

The function arguments.

Argument	Description
id	A ChipsId structure identifying the item, or a string containing the name of the object.

If no argument is given then the current line is hidden, otherwise the argument determines what to hide. Note that this does not delete anything; use the display_line command to make the items visible again.

Examples

Example 1

chips> add_line(0, 0, 1, 1)
chips> hide_line()

Create a line, then hide it.

Example 2

chips> add_line(.1, .3, .9, .3, "id=flat")
chips> add_line(.3, .8, .8, .2, "id=slope")
chips> id = ChipsId()
chips> id.line = "flat"
chips> hide_line(id)

Two lines are created; the second line is current after it is created. The id.line command sets the line value of the ChipsId structure to the first line. That line is then hidden.

Example 3

chips> add_line(.1, .3, .9, .3, "id=flat")
chips> add_line(.3, .8, .8, .2, "id=slope")
chips> hide_line("all")

Two lines are created, then the hide_line command hides them both.
