Synopsis

Launch the ChIPS graphic user interface (GUI)

Syntax

show_gui()
show_gui(path)

Description

path - an optional path to seed the default ChIPS server path. It will also be used for the default path in the print dialog window

The show_gui command launches the ChIPS GUI, which enables the user to interactively modify the plot properties. The GUI may also be opened by right-clicking on an existing ChIPS plotting window and selecting the "Show GUI" item.

Information on how to use the GUI is available from the built-in help menu and via ahelp chipsgui.

Example 1

chips> show_gui()

Launch the ChIPS GUI.

Example 2

chips> show_gui("/data/analysis/chips/")

The path /data/analysis/chips/ will be used by the Print and Save As dialog items of the GUI.
