image_open

Synopsis

Open the imager window (i.e., start ds9).

image_open()

Description

Sherpa has an interface to the ds9 imager. The image_open() function opens the imager window (i.e., starts ds9 if it is not already running). It returns no value and accepts no input arguments. The image_close() function can be used to close the imager window (i.e., exit ds9).

Example

sherpa> image_open()

The image_open() function opens the imager window (i.e., starts ds9).
